This is interesting, but I'm a bit confused. Does this mean other German brands (like Sinn, tutima, Muhle, Nomos) cannot be considered German too? I've never thought about this, because I always consider them as German, since they are located in Germany.

In this case, only Lange, GO and Union can be considered pure German then.

Hello ............(¤p§Ì½â¦W, ¦³°d²MÅ¥, §R±¼),

It's a fine question and has even been asked before on the Chronoswiss
Forum.

What you've heard is true: the company is based in Munich, but because its
movements are Swiss and the elaborations are done by Swiss firms, it
qualifies under Swiss law to be called 'Swiss Made'.

Herr Lang started Chronoswiss in the 1980's, when the few German brands
available were looked down upon because the factories were in East Germany
and the companies there had poor reputations.

I hope that helps clarify the situation and welcome to the Forum ·L¯º)

Regards,

Stan

Boris, I'm just wondering why enicar is so special. Could you please explain that to me? I've tried researching Enicar, but there isn't much info online.

Hi,Flyback! Enicar is not special at all .
Just because it isn't called ETA , it makes you feel different.
Mr.Lang bought the Enicar movements in the 70's.
I don't know how many pieces he had .
But it is really a limited edition, isn't it ?

Marcus said "in Germany and Austria, other German watch brands like Chronoswiss, Muehle, Sinn etc. still are 'stigmatized' because of their Swiss movements".

and then you will understand what the most people concern.
