我是還沒遇過﹐今年一月才買了第一支vintage Rolex﹐買來時已經service過了. 這是我剛聽這邊一位錶友說的. 我們買錶那家錶店(authorized Rolex dealership)有新錶區和vintage區﹐他們買進的vintage Rolex 都會送進 Rolex B.H. service﹐所以跟Rolex B.H. 關係還不錯﹐應該還可以從他那邊送進維修一陣子。
普通人的話是聽說從最近開始﹐大概1970左右之前的錶就不能送進了....別的watch forum好像也有同樣的一說. 以下是錶友寫給我的email, 參考一下! 
"Josh confirmed Rolex won't accept watches over approx. 30 years old (namely, pre-1970 watches) because they don't have the parts for these watches anymore, or, at least no longer stocking them. Josh says he can still get the old watches overhauled at Rolex." |

"Josh says Rolex will even turn him down for like manual-wind Daytona servicing if the watch needs movement parts other than like the stem, crown, and tube. He told the days of buying cheap Daytonas in need of repairs are over. So, when Rolex starts turning away red Subs I think, if you want Rolex service and service papers, you need to get the watches serviced through Josh as he has excellent connections at Rolex, B.H. I think Rolex is turning away certain aged movement calibers and it's not an exact year/models of watches. I think all watches before the 1570 calibers are not serviced by Rolex as they don't have movement parts. It's actually better than average for Rolex for agreeing to service watches up to 30 years of age--lesser companies would simply say something like, "Oh, that watch is obselete, we don't service those anymore, sir." Patek, of course, is the best as they'll service anything made by them and they'll do the best they can for any watch ever made by them; IWC is also good and, almost surprisingly, Omega has a vintage watch repair dept. in Switzerland also." |
