看了一些文章，有些人很高尚的說自己買錶不在乎別人怎麼看（可是手上都是好錶）呵呵，當然我相信價錢不是全部（我也有幾支很便宜但挺喜歡的錶），但真的連XX％都沒有嗎？說句實話機械錶準不過石英錶，美不過懷錶，再說請問有幾個人沒事把錶拆解開來欣賞機心運作的，大家買他應該是一種表現自己品味的需求吧，既然這樣品牌應該也是考慮因素之一，至少我第一支高價錶（其實也不高）除了設計自己喜歡，還有該品牌給人的印象，這些都是我考慮的範圍，這是我個人覺得啦，大家要不要也發表一下自己的真心話

This is a very hard question for anyone to answer. I think there are way too many types of watch fan out there, that is hard to get a clear answer on their comment on the brand. Take some of the more popular brands (Rolex, Panerai) as an example, you have fans like its history, model variations, tracking its auction price, studying counterfeits, or doing anything that's related to the brand. OTOH, you may see some people buying it for the name. Everyone has their own reason(s) for getting it, so it's hard to answer.
As for myself (and I think I'm weird for that matter), I don't particular want others to know what brand I'm wearing-unless that person knows enough about it. Isn't it kind of self contradicting? So I tihnk that fits into your "買他應該是一種表現自己品味的需求吧" description, but in an opposite sense. It doesn't have to be expensive, but I'd be happy if someone walked up and say "how do you like that 7s36 movement".
On a side note, I bumped into this guy in a watch store this weekend, and I don't even think he knows (and cares) much about what he was getting. He walked in with a sweat shirt, sweat pants and slippers, but wearing an oversize gold Royal Oak Chrono (may be the offshore). What shocked me was the 2 watches that he came to pick up-A lady Royal Oak with diamonds all over, and a Ulysse Nardin GMT Perpetual rose gold. That was over USD 70000 in suggested retail!!! And he was questioning if it'd look good on a tux, and the dealer had to show him the "cool" features on the watch. I didn't think the brand was a concern to him. You can always find guys like that, and there's nothing wrong with that.

呵呵 我很同意你說的，同樣妳也可以看到穿著汗衫短褲脫鞋的人開雙B，只是錶比車更難評定好壞，我是一般人，我喜歡錶不過不到迷的地步，我只是好奇像我這樣的一般人在選錶的時候，除了設計，跟一知半解的去選擇機心之外，難道這支錶會帶給其他人怎麼看妳的想法，一點都沒考慮嗎？其實會發出這一篇是因為看了討論區有關ROLEX的一篇文章，不過大家可以把問題轉換成，妳希望藉由錶去傳達什麼資訊給其他人？ 或許這樣問題會比較好回答，可以輕鬆一點的答案最好。
我先說我自己，我上班是帶PANERAI GMT 44mm 簡單的大錶面設計，我希望傳達的是我的活力，而買這對我來說有點貴的錶是虛榮心在作祟，是想告訴別人這是我努力得來的，沒辦法我是一個平常人，還是有一點點虛榮心的（不選ROLEX是因為以前帶ROLEX的好像都是暴發戶的印象還殘留著） 
希望大家看完不要罵我，讓我還能保有一點平凡人所可以擁有的虛榮心，呵呵 |

當初Panerai和ROLEX要選則時,老實說比較喜歡Panerai的外型,但是覺得用ETA機芯,就選則16600,但是上班時同事都會開玩笑說是爆發戶...,最近還是忘不了Panerai,但跟去年初比起來可能要多花1~2成才買的到,話說回來也許去年買Panerai,今年可能就想買ROLEX......錶海無涯,努力賺錢............ |

我以前也是和您一樣 不選ROLEX是因為感覺帶ROLEX的好像都是暴發戶 所以第一支錶買的是zenith el primero. 不過 看錶看久了 覺得是看你如何搭配你的服裝 Rolex Submarine 和 jeans 也看起來很stylish啊 |

哈哈 我要先說一下，我沒有攻擊ROLEX的意思，喜歡ROLEX的不要罵我，實在是台灣以前的買手水準太糟，不是金的就是滿天星，反正不閃的不要，所以才讓我對ROLEX印象不好，如果我是ROLEX總裁我可能會想殺了以前那些買手，可以讓那種暴發戶的品牌印象延續數十年，呵呵
