I wanna buy a cheap automatic, i am a new user of automatic watches. I am considering swatch or seiko "5". For the same price level, you think which one is better? For accuracy and for quality?

I suggest you to buy Seiko 5, this is because Seiko can be serviced and swatch auto is not. Also, Seiko 5 is using all metal parts in their movement while some of the Swatch auto parts are made of plastic.

因從未接觸過Swatch，所以想請教，您說Swatch 不能修理， 是因為他本身的構造無法修理，還是代理商服務太差，不願修理？ 謝謝指教。 |

Also, seiko '5' series can be very cheap. The price may be up to twice or even more. So what's the difference of the quality? Also, what accuracy can I expect for both swatch and seiko? Thank you. |

準確度是可以調的.
seiko 5調之前我用過的是20多秒一天, 但自己調之後一天只有1-2秒而已. 而且很穩. swatch的看起來太花俏了. |

小弟對於機蕊的認識並不多, 不過還是提出個人對於 SEIKO 與 SWATCH 的看法 :
SEIKO 在台灣的市場很成熟, 錶款也很多, 售後維修服務也是很方便的. SWATCH 的銷售點也不少, 款式更多, 但是很少看到維修師傅吧 ! 就以 SWATCH 的行銷觀點來看, 價廉物美又精準, 每年每季又推陳出新, 符合追求時尚的年輕學子在財力與流行的平衡點. 不過大部分的 SWATCH 錶款是以塑膠為材質, 容易塑型卻不耐久; 生活防水性尚可, 而不以此為訴求; 所以小弟認為' 它 '是被定位為消耗型手錶, 當' 它 '沒電時, 或是被摔壞時, 就是該換錶的時候了 ! 相信有人會覺得"SWATCH也有不錯的金屬.機械錶款啊 !"; 是的, 小弟也曾喜歡IRONIC(IRONY?)等款式, 不過要想到的是' 它 '的維修服務, 當您拿錶回原銷售點詢問時, 也許服務人員是建議您找其他鐘錶師傅看看, 或是轉送斯沃琪瑞代理商詢價, 在您得知價格之後, 大概會考慮要不要另外購買新錶吧 ? 話說回來, 在您購買第一只機械錶時, 想那麼多幹嘛 ? 在戴了兩三年之後, 即使錶還沒故障, 您大概已經在看下一款錶了吧 ! 所以呢, 喜歡就買吧 ! _________________

well... first of all, than you for all of you. I live in Hong Kong, there are many swatch shops in hong kong, so I can send it back to swatch very conveniently. Of course, I can find shops selling seiko everywhere too. It is extremely popular in Hong Kong.
Secondly, same as adywc, I am interested in the irony collection of swatch. I would like to compare the accuracy of both. But I do not know how to adjust the accuracy myself. my buget is about 5000 to 6000 Taiwan dollars. Any suggestion to me? Or do you recommend automatic in this price range? |

Since there's no problem for you to find the after-services at all. Don't worry about to adjust the watch yourself ! Because there are always 1~2 years warrantee for your new watch. And you can send it back any time before the warrant expired. I think you will find the way out within these years ! (Ask the Master who is fixing the problem of the watch...) So, just buy it ! And enjoy it on your hand ! _________________

Swatch 表開始是以 "disposable watch " 的姿態出現，其石英表是沒后蓋可以開的， 除了換電池以外。 雖然 自動系列的后蓋是可以開的，但是因為swatch 表的價位一般很低，鮮少人會拿去維修，但是客戶如果要硬要求維修，代理是會維修，可能價錢就會使客戶再三考慮了。 反觀Seiko, 雖然也是低價表，代理卻是有師傅可以應付客戶將來的保養跟維修，維修的費用也反應出表的價位。 以上是個人經驗。 _________________ 表：今生的愛，前世的債 |
