小熊訪客	發表於: 星期三 2003-09-17 17:48 說點俗氣的話，價錢就差太多了，一個是eta, 一個是自家機心，格拉的機心打磨的不錯喔!可是貴爆了! 另一個的表面很好看，便宜，但機心就是一般eta的喔，我沒用過，真正使用心得要行家來說，不應該用這兩支來比較的! 回頂端

The watch-making history of our company "Glash慤ter Uhrenbetrieb GmbH" dates back to the year 1845 and is continued up to this very day - without interruption. The small city of Glash慤te knows many watch-making companies, six in total. Two of them are the companies "Glash慤ter Uhrenbetrieb GmbH" and their brand "Glash慤te Original" as well as the "Union Uhrenfabrik GmbH" and their brand "Union". The "Union Uhrenfabrik GmbH" is the daughter company of the "Glash慤ter Uhrenbetrieb GmbH". The "Union" watches are manufactured on the same machine park as the "Glash慤te Original" watches. Both brands manufacture their own watch-movements. Glash慤te Original is one of the only watchmaking companies world-wide whose movements are crafted exclusively in the manufactory. From the construction through the production of the tiny and complex individual parts to the precision assembly of the movements, each step is carried out in the Glash慤te Original manufactory. The above mentioned two companies belong to the Swatch Group since the year 2000. Also, if you want to order Union, it's going to be quite difficult. They said (for US customers), you'll have to send in an official written request, and wait for a pro forma invoice. Then, you'll have to wire the money to a bank account (no credit card); and once that's cleared, you'll have to wait for it being made and then shipped to you via UPS Express. The prices are in Euro and you have to pay for shipping and insurance. I'm not sure how VAT is going to work. If someone knows a better way to get it, please share. 回頂端

Your seller should have deducted already the 16% VAT from the RRP (recommended retailer price) when he/she quote you the price, not 'claim it back later'. It is a charge of the EU side, not the US side. I would advise you to confirm the detail with your seller again, since 16% is not a small amount... Good luck. 回頂端
