An executive order signed by Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker will end the State of Emergency this Tuesday, June 15.
Starting tomorrow, the State of Emergency rescinsion will rid COVID-related state mandates and allow all businesses to operate at full capacity. State COVID infection numbers have been steadily decreasing, the state reported only 33 new cases this past Sunday.
This order relieves all remaining pandemic-related limitations such as occupancy numbers, gathering limitations, and mask requirements in certain settings.
According to a press release, mask requirements will still be applicable “in public and private transportation systems, hospitals and other facilities housing vulnerable populations.”
