Light Diffusion Tent
This is a nice size commercial “light diffusion tent” in like new condition. It is roughly egg shaped with the egg lying on its side. This shape is chosen for a reason. It is approximately 21” on the bottom, but 27” in the longest length. It is 20 inches in width at the center, 11 inches at the back and 8 & ½ inches in the front. These dimensions give this unit no flat surfaces. A curved surface promotes almost perfect light diffusion. This is a huge advantage over the flat surface type. Flat surfaces often allow lights to shine through and cause light out spots on the subject. It is large enough for mantel clocks and versatile enough to take a picture of a one mm. caterpillar. It can be used with the front piece in place or removed for easier access as shown in the pictures. With proper back ground, it will accommodate even taller clocks. With the front piece in place, there are three openings for taking the pictures. This allows pictures from three angles without moving the object. Archie can be seen from two of the three angles. It is collapsible as shown and easily assembled. The corners of the parts are marked with colored dots for easy location. The pieces are zipped together and held firm by Velcro reinforcement bands. There are two tiny bubbles in the side where the light got too close to the plastic but they do not compromise the function. The advantage of the tent is that it diffuses all the light coming in avoiding burn out spots.
