5032 is a very nice perpetual calendar on wrist (much cooler than in photos). Go for it and you won't regret. I just got mine before price increase again.
By the way, be careful with the date setting and the mechanism doesn't have much margin of error.

I think the maintenance is comparable to other perpetual calendar items.
Totally agreed that the price has raised a lot. It's HK$295,000 in Hong Kong now. Is it lower in Taiwan? |

IWC's perpetual calendar module may have a less elaborate design than other fully adjustable modules, i.e. fewer parts and absence of all those pushers, etc.
However, I think the assembly or re-assembly of such module may turn out to be more demanding than other modules as the exact alignment of all the parts/gears should require a great deal of efforts and skills. Another example is retro-date perpetual modules, function-wise they look the same but the adjustment/maintenance could be a lot more challenging. |
