I have a 3706 with both leather strap and steel band. But I have been using the leather strap for almost as long as I own the watch:
Then I have a 16234 with steel band. I think it looks a little bit too 老氣: 
So I decided to combine the two and see how it would turn out: . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 
It turns out to be AMAZING! 
I couldn't believe how much difference the leather strap made on the 16234. 
So now the steel band is back on the 3706 after being ignored for several years in the box  :

Watch bracelet changed, image changed and our mood changed ...surely in a good mood
Once, I changed all SS band to the leather and find some were good but some ....were not quite suitable. Your 16234 with black leather is beautiful both watch and photo. IWC with SS, I think, is a IWC 3706 Brown leather will make 16234 and IWC3706 looks much younger Thanks for sharing
