I have found there is still some old models of swatch automatics in shops, which carries 23 jewels movements instead of 21 jewels nowadays. I would like to ask which one is better? I mean in terms of the quality of different parts of movments.
I know there are some plastic parts in the new 21 jewels movements, does this happen to the older 23 jewels movements too?

both old and new have plastic parts, they are not different significantly.
