I am interested in timex watches, they all have good functions, but very cheap price.
for example, Perpetual Calendar timex is under 130 US Dollars. While the price may be 5 times more for even japanese brands.
I wanna ask your commnets about timex quality? Why can Timex be so cheap?

timex是美國品牌(大陸製)(請不要懷疑對岸的品質)
有專有的高反差面板 主力是液晶運動錶款 美國的錶較合理所以便宜(不強調歷史) 而美國人用錶習慣是不走就丟了 所以也不能太貴(也非絕對,勞力士美國銷量最大) |

well, mainland china's quality is not bad necessarily. But it seems that china is not professional in watch making. And most important is the QC (quality-check), I believe this is the main weakness of china comparing with the Japan or swiss. |

大陸手錶產量應已是全球第一
一般平價手錶已全是大陸製(包括部分日本瑞士美國品牌已是100%) 部份中高單價主要配件(錶帶錶殼)也是大陸製 SAPPHIRE玻璃市面上大概90%是大陸製(包括一些高單價特殊玻璃) 而且這些零件廠 幾乎是台港商 只是可惜 沒有一個上的了檯面的品牌是中國人的 |

Timex 也育在于菲律賓制造。
品質，都沒問題。 另外，美國頭號公敵賓拉登(Osama Bin Ladin) 也是選戴Timex, 您想品質能差到那里去啊？

I think it is because chinese is lack of the 'know-how', chinese do not have the technique of watchmakers. The swiss has hundreds of years of watch history. Just like a chinese idiom, "Good teachers will have good students." This is why chinese cannot defeat japan and swiss in short time. |

i should use another way to express my feeling. I think Ladin's 911 attack is much smaller scale than US attract Iraq after. If someone think Bin Ladin should be arrested and killed, then why not president Bush? |
