Before demagnetizing, you better check the amplitude and beat error with a timegrapher，if the hairspring of the balance is magnetized and stick together, your watch will go very fast. Not every antimagnetic (to a certain level) watch has a soft iron cover. As far as I know, Seamaster 300M seldom exposes her "iron cover" in public articles:
