2010年Basel的Rolex
第三題是偶請老外版主幫我問的 之前一直沒回覆這帖因為在等答案 跟我想的差不多,新表扣(實心帶)的Rolex都是904L,但舊表扣就不一定是 FROM BASEL: Answers to Your Questions From My Meeting With Rolex>>>>> http://www.watchtalkforums.info/forums/rolex-discussion-forum/38103-basel-answers-your-questions-my-meeting-rolex.html Hey Guys - I met just a few hours ago with the President and Executive Vice President of Rolex USA. I selected five questions from those offered up by our members. Here they are with the answers: 1. How is Rolex progressing on creating a red and blue ceramic bezel for the GMT II? The answer I got was pretty much the same as last year. Red is difficult. So is blending to colors. So if progress has been made (and my guess is there has been progress) then there's nothing ready for Rolex to talk about. Which means a ceramic Pepsi bezel GMT could come as early as Basel 2010 for all we know.... 2. Will the DJ I continue or will it be discontinued in favor of the DJ II? The Datejust II is doing very, very well for Rolex. However, Rolex feels that the oversized watch trend is reversing a bit. In this economy, people with money don't want to draw attention. Wearing an oversized hockey puck draws unwanted attention. The DJ I line isn't going away. 3. On the sport divers is 904L steel used in all the case and bracelet components or are some 316L? As a rule of thumb, all Rolex sport watches which have the new clasp are constructed entirely of 904L. No further elaboration was given, but it is now clear that sport/divers which do NOT have the new solid construction clasp are NOT entirely comprised of 904L components. 4. Any plans to expand the Everose & Steel outside the DJ lines? Into the other professional models? I almost didn't ask this question, as I didn't ask any other questions in which people asked Rolex to talk about their future plans. C'mon guys...we KNOW Rolex doesn't talk about future plans. BUT, Rolex is quite proud of their Everose and did talk about it - the Everose Daytona is selling VERY well according to Rolex. However, the answer I got to the question is, "I don't know." 5. An apparently Rolex produced video of what appears to be a re-designed Explorer II has been seen on the Internet. Was there supposed to be a new Explorer II this year? Rolex admitted that at the last minute, they decided to pull the new Explorer II, and all but confirmed it will be a Basel 2011 release. I certainly see the logic of this move and actually think it was a good decision. No need to put the new Explorer I and II in a position of competing with one another for attention with a simultaneous release. There you have it folks! Start working on those Basel 2011 questions. cwlan 在 星期日 2010-03-21 05:09 作了第 1 次修改 |
