FO reservations
Dear Flieger Original potential buyer,
You have signed since a long time for our topseller Flieger Original.
Unfortunately we couldn't inform you in the last few months about the correct delivery time, because the proprietor of our movement furnisher deceased all of a sudden.
The follow-up regulation is difficult to evaluate and we still don't know if it is possible to get more movements.
In order that you can plan your budget and we our capacity, we have now decided not to wait any longer for a promise of our furnisher because we have already spent too much time on waiting for a positive answer.
We daily receive new reservations and demands, when we will finally deliver.
Therefore we decided the following:
1.) Not to accept any more reservations at the moment
2.) We ask all customers, who since 2007 have placed a reservation, to please contact us again if they are still interested and in which version (deadline until Monday, June 22nd, 2009, 12 o'clock a.m.)
3.) We will then distribute the watches we already can built with the existing movements in the order of the original sequence.
These customers will get an order sheet from us with which they could order the watch. Kindly be informed that until June 30th, 2009, all customers which could receive a watch, will get such an order e.mail.
We will inform all customers who aren't able to get a watch, on June 30th, in the evening by e.mail.
We will raffle a Flieger Original with massive case back under all "empty-handed" customers, who have ordered until today 12 o'clock a.m. GMT for their big patience, in the total value of EUR 990,-
Of course, we are still anxious to get our Flieger Original movement in sufficient quantity and best quality.
But to give you planning reliability, we have decided to act as mentioned.
Once again, we want to thank you for the big interest (we have more than 1300 reservations) and wish for you as collector and watch enthusiast, that we will achieve the movements in the near future in sufficient quantity.
Of course we will update you with another Newsletter if this would be the case.
The next steps are:
1.) We want to ask you for an e-mail to one of below e-mail addresses, but only if you are still interested to buy in the next months one of the three versions.
2.) With this e-mail you evince interest for concrete ordering of the watch.
3.) We have installed four e-mail addresses and solicit you to write the version of the watch you prefer in the subject heading and to send the e-mail to the corresponding e-mail address. (With this you help us to contain the effort to handle the probably up to 1.300 e-mails).
4.) At the moment we have approx. 200 watches at our disposal.
5.) We will allocate the watches in sequence of your former reservation after your confirmation e-mail.
6.) If you are able to receive a watch, you will get an e-mail from us in the following days (between 24.06 and 30.06.09) with an order sheet.
7.) Of course we will also inform you until June 30th, if you failed.
You will then have the chance to participate in a drawing of a Flieger Original, which we take place beginning of July.
Thank you for your patience and your confidence.
We know, that some of you will be unhappy, but it is also a bad situation for us, as we have already ordered a big quantity of material (cases, hands, dials etc.).
You can be sure that we will do our best to produce this model in the future.
Here are the versions, which you can select for a concrete ordering.
As already mentioned, we won't distribute the watches upon receipt of your confirmation-mail but in sequence of your original reservation.
You can be sure, not to be unfairly treated if you will only read our e-mail over the week-end.
Closing date for your re-confirmation is Monday 22nd of June, 2009.
Starting June 23rd, 2009, we will send concrete order schedules, and from June 30th in the afternoon, we will inform all STOWA customers, who will participate at our drawing for a Flieger Original.

For all prospective buyers who aren't successful to acquire one of the 200 watches there will be of course the chance to get a Flieger Original if we will manage to buy movements, we will then also distribute the watches in the sequence of the "old" reservation list.
