We're considering buying a Patek as a family treasure to pass on to the next and probably the the next after the next generations. Perpetual calendars come to our mind, but cannot decide which to buy. Is Ref 5059 good enough?

Life is too short. Just do it before it's too late if you can afford it.
IMHO, buying a PP is for your own pleasure and definitely is NOT for your next generations. Never trust the advertisements too much. All they want is your money going into their pockets. Well, I am a businessman too!!

In my opinion, if you are not interested in Patek, please do not buy a watch you don't like it except re-sell.

5059 isn't just good enough. I think 5059 is the most beautiful Perpetual calendars for the all time.
