I still think that in Hong Kong if you want to buy a new GS (or other Japanese only watches), buying through Japanese dealer is the best. I have a few pleasant experience. This is my most recent buy.

If you really want to have a look and feel first before buying, you can try these in Hong Kong
1. Asia Watch Co. near Sogo and Excelsior Hotel
2. Shumsuipo Golden Centre
3. http://www.timegalleria.com.hk/

(HK21000 is too much for a SBGR001. It should be somewhere below HK20000. A friend of mine brought one from Japanese dealer in April 04 for 250000Yen.)

讓我到 Time Galleria Ltd 看一看。

Timegalleria- the price is a bit too.......
Wah Sang is good for low-end Seiko, but for high-end Seiko (like GS, Brightz and I saw even a Flightmaster), the price is also .....
But they have to pay rent and make a profit.

I saw two GS in Asia Watch Co 3 weeks ago but i forgot the model . One is white dial & leather strap , the salesgirl took it out & shown me . It cost HK$25800 but i think that it's not worth . Usually , they will put the GS on the downstair of window , you must visit slowly . Otherwise you will oversight .

Asia Watch ......最近有三隻GS反左.一隻係鈦金屬GS加透明底,....另一隻隻白面新款GMT皮帶....另一隻就係基本款..黑面GS.....,給我買了,是幫我朋友買的........

For me, GS is a good watch; especially for automatic model. A prof. watch lover would know the worth of GS and willing to pay for the price it asks. Concerning about the topic you asked, you have to know the why the GS asks this substantial price. Otherwise, you just pay for other people's comment on GS, not your own favor 裝白ㄘ
