小弟人在美國,因為朋友要送我禮物,人又碰巧不在這裡,因此就上網訂了這隻錶給我。
賣錶的公司對沒有序號得解釋如下(來源:http://www.authenticwatches.com/info.html#3): Certain timepieces are decoded, unless the product description states "With Serial Numbers." This is common practice with most authorized dealers who sell to online companies, and is done in order to protect their Authorized Dealership license from the manufacturer. The manufacturer does not approve of discounting the prices of their products beyond a set amount. They do this to ensure the values of their timepieces are kept at a certain level. These numbers act as a means of monitoring the products they sell; thus, they will often purchase timepieces from our site in order to obtain these numbers. With these numbers they have the capability of tracing any piece back to the original dealer, who purchased the particular item, and possibly suspend their Authorized Dealership license. All decoded pieces are done professionally, with absolutely no marks, blemishes or scratches left behind. 請各位大大開示,是我多心了,還是我真收到假錶。謝謝! |
Seikonokia bro,
I have one question for you.
1. how much do you/your friend pay for the watch? as it is suspicious to me that you are paying a real watch price or full retail price over internet.
OK, here come my comment to your questions.
The website "authenticwatches.com" as quoted is one of the biggest "grey market" watch seller on the internet (USA). In lots of international watch forum like TZ or WUS. authenticwatches.com are widely discussed as a grey market seller by removing serial number on their watch.
I am not defending the authenticwatches.com.
But please be aware that Omega already put up warning for it's customer not buying ANY watch from the internet. Especially if the seller already mentioned they gonna "decoded" in fact removed the serial number.
You should be well awared that watch is not coming with the serial number. and you just simply buy and support the company and wanna test out your luck and see if you can get a watch "with serial".
One quick note, this company offering heavy discount on the real watch (have the serial number removed), so you must not be paying the full retail price, or retail price with normal retail discount.
sorry about my comment, but it's hard to help, so you or maybe your friend just voluntarily fork out the $$ to by from that company. It's hard for me to believe or trust that you did not aware of the "removed serial number" before you pay for the amount they asked for.
