Members of this forum will be particularly pleased to read the following news reports by the JCK-Jewelers Circular Keystone (a trade publication) I received via e-mail today:
In a 2006 national survey by The Jewelry Consumer Opinion Council watches remain important to most U.S. adults, especially women, despite some indications that use of handheld devices-like cell phones and iPods-as time tellers may be growing. Most respondents, including young adults, own two or more watches, believe wristwatches are important as fashion accessories and for use at work, and say they'll continue wearing watches in the future.
And, now this from a separate survey:
Ultra-wealthy American consumers rate IWC as the number one watch brand, followed closely by Vacheron Constantin, and Patek Philippe, according to a Luxury's Institute watch survey.
"The timepieces made by IWC are secrets shared by only a very few in the world; their workmanship and quality is unquestioned, their craftsmen are artisans of time itself," according to respondents to the 2007 Luxury Brand Status Index survey of Luxury Watches. "Quite simply, it is the ultimate in a watch, not garish or gaudy. Only you and a select few will really know it costs more than a pair of Mercedes."
The Luxury Brand Status Index is a nationally representative sample of ultra-wealthy American consumers who were surveyed online. Respondents needed a minimum household income of $200,000 and a minimum household net worth of $5 million to qualify.

不過至少是種品牌形象肯定
什麼時候會可以變成ultra-wealthy Taiwan consumer....又在作夢了

Number one watch brand followed by Vacheron Constantin and Patek Philippe.....!?
So Vacheron Constantin is number two and Patek Philippe, number three....? Come on, where to put Audemars Piguet, A LANGE & SHONE, Breguet......? Those ultra-wealthy American consumers, as well as the Americans, are so naive! Biggest joke I have heard this year. Truly. But congratulations, there are some very rich people in the United States love IWC. Happy New Year !! |

It is informative to know what watch brands they are more interested in from the survey.
No offense,but most of Taiwanese consumers are not as wealthy as those "ultra-wealthy" American consumers. Our values and sense of beauty are different from theirs. Personally,I am not really concerned about how they rate their No.1 watch brand,and therefore cannot find any reason worthly to feel pleased.
Please don't deteriorate into personality and insult American consumers as a watch master. That is enough. Just take it easy if the survey is not as well as you expect..... |

我花了一點時間看了美國Top1 watchtime magazine
主編 Joe Thompson公開向Luxury Institute(我以下簡稱LI) CEO致歉: 因為他曾質疑上期調查:JLC 是美國最有聲望的腕錶NO. 1 PP, VC, AP居然不在榜上!!! 後來經由LI CEO回信批評 Joe是笨蛋主篇,並解釋了調查方法,終於說服Joe。 Joe承認了LI是專業且公正之奢華品牌調查機構。 原文很長,也牽涉相當多權重(weight)與名單list篩選。由於小弟常寫專業顧問報告,所以也非常認同LI的調查方式。 市調分析或財務分析,我常說是garbage in, garbage out。都是為了湊答案。 但看了LI的調查是相當公正客觀、專業且耗時,且與任何錶廠無任何利益關係,且這報告內容都有給瑞士與美國鐘錶產業參考,也都沒有收到任何反對意見。 別忘了,不是每個美國富翁都認同Patek Philippe啊!! PP在這些富翁心中算是超豪奢腕錶( ultra-luxury watch),不一定認同它價值與工藝。 但我相信: 1.全世界鐘錶雜誌主編100%認同PP是NO. 1 2.腕巴成員可能90%認同PP NO.1 3.台灣人可能認為RN(勞斯丹頓)是NO.1(牽涉調查母體,且因為最近電視廣告打太兇了) 這個資訊給大家多點世界觀,看看美國市場的反應。 (難怪美國IWC出現限量錶超定價賣情況,連3717都照定價賣) 不管怎樣,Rolex還是腕巴的超人氣品牌,IWC要超越似乎很難,呵呵 |

我認為台灣人還是會把Rolex當成是No.1 畢竟它真的有名 流通性佳 兼顧耐用 PP要稍微有接觸錶的人才會知道 台灣人最知道的應該就是Rolex和Omega吧 至於Rolex是腕巴的超人氣品牌 , IWC要超越很難 ....WHO CARE?! IWC整體品定位和工藝比Rolex高 自尤其歷史這也是全球不爭的事實 售價高 要吵本來就比較不容易 人對於20萬以下的錶可以不用考慮太久出手 但是對於50萬以上的錶 就會考慮在三 除非你是很有錢 在台灣10萬~30萬的最好炒 Rolex自然是這個價碼最佳代言人 我個人認為Rolex/Omega/Panerai是同等級的 IWC/JLC/GO 一級 PP/AP/VC/A Lange/ Brouget 等又是上一級 但這又如何?? 買到自己喜歡的錶才是好錶 不喜歡PP給我一樣是垃圾.... 還是那句話 喜歡錶 心胸還是要寬闊點 格局要大 _________________ 獨登高處亦蕭然 偉哉挺立勁風中 |
