很少有關宇宙表UNIVERSAL GENEVE的評論，我在網站上看中了這品牌的幾個表款很漂亮，現在的宇宙表是否值得購買，各位前輩可否給些意見，謝謝！

如今的新東家為香港商，現役產品多為ETA機芯。
但近日有以日本為主要市場而重製的早期3/4自動舵自製機芯錶款上市 造形不怎樣，價格卻是貴得嚇死人...

actually most swiss brands are not owned by swiss people, or even not western people. Most important is the creativity and quality.. also, now UG has produced their UG 100 calibre. Very good. Now, UG is trying to rebuild their brand name. Very good. |

我個人覺得UG在非主流的市場上有他的特色,你如果覺得UG某種型號的錶能夠代表你的個性和喜好,也能夠帶的讓你開心,那也就值得了.不必太在意別人對此品牌的看法,我個人也喜歡UG的手錶,感覺擁有一只UG要跟別人撞錶還滿難地.UG100 MICROTOR看起來我滿喜歡的.

看來dbssimon大大應該是香港的朋友吧？
小弟並沒有任何瞧不起香港廠家的意思，只是發表個人對此錶目前狀況的一些看法。 小弟個人對於一些 "起死回生" 的錶廠其實一向都是抱以期望， 只希望接手的廠商別抹煞了老廠的名聲，多重視一下錶廠的光榮與傳統， 別老是幫襯 ETA 然後價格定得不合理就行了。 UG 有良好的傳統，也曾有過許多優秀的產品。 但若只是為了賺錢而一謂的使用大路機芯，那不如還是讓這個廠牌入土為安吧。 但若是能在質量及設計上都有所突破，那未嘗不事件好事呢？ 好的東西不怕沒人買，就怕你的東西不夠好。 若真有心經營的話，那大家姑且拭目以待， 搞不好還真能在鐘錶界創出一片天地也說不定呢！ |

Universal Geneve在60年代左右可是炙手可熱的一線廠牌. 是許多中東產油國超級富豪的最愛. 後來被香港人收購後, 產品大量使用ETA, 作工, 外型均較已往遜色許多. 目前只能在時間廊見到它們的蹤跡.
晚近唯一出色之作, 是為紀念該廠創建100週年(1894-1994)所生產的Janus雙面兩地時間錶. 之後又淹沒在時光的洪流了........... |

nono, in 90's under HK people, they have produced a lot of very very innovative models, you may check in the books of "Chung Wing Lun", a HK watch super fans. Also, as I said, they are not producing common models. Of course they uses 2892 and 7750 series too. But still, they try to make the watches special, including look and design. Hope you can enjoy UG with us. |

wa... your expectation is too much la... this Janus may be one of the greatest watch in the history. (In terms of creativity and beauty) And you expect each UG watch is just like the Janus. Even PP cannot have their each watch to be the best watches la.. |

Actually I used to put my trust in Universal Geneve, but no more now. Janus is great in deed, but I do not have any expectation on present Universal Geneve from the moment when they used large amount of ETA products in their models. I never expect each Universal Geneve watch to be like Janus but I do expect most of them to use their in-house caliber instead of ETA calibers.
Universal Geneve used to be one of the top brands, but now they are no match for Rolex, OMEGA, let alone PP, AP, Lange & Sohne. I'm really sorry for them....... |
