According to IWC specification, the watch has a special mechanism to stop the movement after it runs for 168 hours. Although the main spring can provide power after 168 hours, the torque is not even when the main spring is almost unwound. So 168 hours are the optimum duration. If a Port runs for 8 days, you'd better have it checked by IWC - the stop mechanism may be defective. Just my 2 cents, Coronet |
