I think 852 or someone else had mentioned it in the past. It's not hard to make it, but it's hard to make it accurate. Basically, there're lots of moving parts that needs to be carefully assembled. At the same time, we have all seen that fake AP that can be accquired cheaply in Mainland China. I hope someone can post their experience with it.
Also, I think a lot of the companies are buying modules for complication like the tourbillon and perpeptual calendar these days, but there are still a few elite "Tourbillon" out there.
