Dear all,
I am just wondering whether Panerai is strong enough to wear it when doing a hot shower or bathing?
I just read that Rolex is not strong enough for this kind of activities.
Thanks a lot

I don't think that the point of this problem is base upon "strong enough or not"
It's because that mechanical watch is not suggest to exposed to some extreme temp environment Due the physical basis of metal, the density will change by dramatically temperature changes..... I don't wear my PAM to bath it's simply because that the hot water in my home is about 42C and it can cause the density of the metal changes, especially the movement It will result in the change of the accuracy... and I don't want to send my be loved to service that soon... |

I read from somewhere that it's a BAD idea to take shower (especially with hot steams) or spa with a watch.
The watch maybe water resistent, but that's measured against liquid water. Moisture in the air has smaller "particles" than liquid water and easily slip through the watch seal..... If you must wear a watch, try Sinn EZM2 that has the watch completely filled with liquid silicon oil, and oil does not mix with water, does not matter if it's in the form of liquid or air.
