[分享]有無師兄喜愛東方Orient表??

剛從曰本旅行回來, 找到這只Orient king master 2005 limited edition, 喜歡極了.

原本只是到曰本一遊, 無計劃找甚麽表買, 在新宿"發現"有數間表店賣"國產表", 就走去找找有無甚麽別注版seiko/Grand seiko. 一向欣賞Grand seiko, 也有一只 GS GMT, 很喜歡GS 那份日式的堅持和固執. 無意間發現這只Orient, 很有質感, 手工也有別於其他比較平的Orient, 也很細緻. 不用5分鍾就把它帶回香港了.

貴就是貴了一點, 但很有窮人PP world time feel......可發夢環遊世界.....

what's the difference of the quality of japan power reserve and GMT compared with swiss movements?

其實orient這幾年也一直奮起直追seiko這個日本錶界的老大哥.
在04,05年也出了好幾款質量優秀的新款,終於比較能貼近人心.
seiko scvs去年在台灣被炒的很紅火,我認為new orient star std
質感及設計上已不較以往俗氣,其品質與價位應該也較能獲得大眾的迴響.

The only and much obvious diffrerence shall be people's preference

可用4點位置把的(screw-down crown)轉別的時區, 現在香港在上方.
那個時間圈是會自轉的, 總的來說這只表比GMT更實用....

In my humble opinion, the accuracy and reliability of japanese movement and western movement are the same, or can be even better within the same price range. The majoy difference is the finishing and artistic design of the movement, which are inferior for japanese watch....

還是不懂怎樣看時區，是把現在地地名轉到時針，其他地方時間就看對應的24小時字樣嗎？

let me explain in this way. For example, after I travel to tokyo, I need to adjust the main hour hand to the local time ( e.g. 15:00). Then, I need to turn the "city ring" to line up with the "24 hour-ring". So the "tokyo" will line up with the local time (15:00) on the "24 hour-ring". Then I can read any city I like by line up the "city" of interest to the "24 hr-ring" time. Hope I explained myself clear......
