For mine it is very consistent that it will run fast with dial up and slow with crown up. So after wearing it a day, if it runs fast, I put it crown up for the night and if it runs slow, I put it dial up in the night. Just checked it, it runs +3s since I brought it more than 3 weeks ago. I am happy!

Winding around 40 turns and keep it at a particular position for 24 hours, these are the results:
Dial up: +2s/day
Diap down: +5s/day
Crown up: -6s/day
Crown down: -10s/day
This is only a very rough estimation. There must be a lot of other factors affecting the running of the watch. Now I just wear it in daytime and put it dial up if it is slow and crown up if it is fast.
OK, check it with the observatory clock just now, +1s since 23/11/05. I have to put this aside, as I must give some wrist time to my X'mas present .

Based on my own judgement.
At some point, you will feel some increased resistance. This is the time to stop. _________________
