Not anymore. I know someone got a Pam 1950 (class A copy) in Beijing Silkstreet market. I borrowed and looked at it and I'll have to say the quality is SUPER. You can not tell it's a fake. According to him, the accuracy is within 1 min in the past 2 months. He said the seller told him (as my friend know Panerai) :

(1) the dome is NOT saphire
This makes sense as if it's real saphire, the fake can not be that cheap
(2) but the back side crystal is saphire
(3) no guarantee on water resistent
But I think as long as the watch is sealed properly, it should at least reach 3-5 atm ??
(4) The brush SS feel very good. The sandwich dial, the pin top axis on the hands.....

Also, I think it does not have anti-reflective coating as I can see the "ghost image" of the hr/min hands on the dome crystal.

But overall, I can't believe it's a fake
